The Soy Mystery is a short animated film created for Greenpeace, based on an idea by Danish actor Mikkel Boe Følsgaard, who also directs and stars as “Detective.”

The film uses a stylized crime-thriller format to reveal a hidden truth: that the sovereignty of the soybean in Denmark has far-reaching consequences tied to deforestation and global CO₂ emissions. As the detective interrogates a talking soybean, the trail leads us to industrial agriculture and climate change.

OUR WORK

We were responsible for the entire editing and animation production pipeline, including developing the visual concept and storyboards based on script and direction, directing the animated characters, producing the animation from layout to final frame-by-frame animation, compositing and visual integration of characters with illustrative environments and live action shots, creating and maintaining a consistent visual identity throughout the film. We also did the final mastering and delivery optimized for digital platforms.
